Device Classification

There are 4 tiers to classify the D-Egg devices.

【Tier-4 : Device】

This is the most fundamental component without any substructure, like elementary particles.

There are 10 tier-4 devices:

1. PMT

2. HV generator

3. HV divider circuit board

4. Main board

5. ICM

6. Optical gel

7. Glass hemisphere

8. FINEMET

9. LED

10. Camera

11. Illumination board

12. Camera + Illumination board

13. Penetrator cable

Note

Please note that the device files of [Camera], [Illumination board], and [Camera + Illumination board] are generated and inserted to the database by SKKU.

Note

Also, the device files of [ICM] are generated and inserted to the database by DESY.

【Tier-3 : Device Unit】

Each tier-3 device includes the corresponding tier-4 device as a sub-device.

There are 3 tier-3 devices:

1. HV board

2. Flasher ring

3. Camera ring

Note

Please note that SKKU do NOT generate the [Camera ring] device files. Instead, we at Chiba generate them.

【Tier-2 : Half D-Egg】

Each tier-2 device includes the corresponding tier-3 and tier-4 devices as sub-devices.

There are 2 tier-2 devices:

1. Upper D-Egg half

2. Lower D-Egg half

【Tier-1 : D-Egg】

This is the most “high-level” device (as you know).

There are 1 tier-1 device:

1. D-Egg
