IF the secondary produced photons and protons can explain the existence of particles with energies beyond the GZK energy, the powerful astronomical sources over cosmological distances such as 3c279 are "entitled" to be responsible for UHE cosmic ray particles we have observed because UHE neutrinos can travel long distance producing the cascade.
