Helmholtz Coils

The 2D scan box is surrounded by a large Helmholtz Coil cage. They are there for magnetic field suppression and divided into a x, y, and z component.

The voltage settings for the following scenarios are:

Chiba B-Field:

  • X-stage: 0.0V

  • Y-stage: 0.0V

  • Z-stage: 0.0V

South Pole B-Field:

  • X-stage: 5.5V

  • Y-stage: 9.5V

  • Z-stage: 0.0V

Chiba B-Field:

  • X-stage: 18.0V

  • Y-stage: 12.0V

  • Z-stage: 0.0V
